The Etsy site currently supports payment in US dollars only, but the button below will allow you to make a payment via PayPal in Canadian dollars, pounds sterling or euros.

PayPal is a secure service that allows you either to open a free account, for sending and receiving online payments, or simply to make a one-off payment by credit card. I never see your credit card information; it is all handled through PayPal.

I include this as an option for deposits on large projects, for payments on all my services, and for Etsy customers outside the US. I also accept cash and cheques drawn on Canadian banks.

Canadian, British and European Etsy users     

The PayPal link on Etsy will process the transaction in US dollars, which costs us both in exchange fees. So if you are in Canada, Britain or Europe and wish to purchase one of my handcrafted items listed on Etsy, just purchase the item as you normally would up to the point of payment. When Etsy notifies me of your purchase, I will send you a note with the amount to pay in Canadian dollars, sterling or euros. Then you can come here, send the payment through the PayPal link above, and save yourself a bit of cash.

In the case of Canadian dollars, I generally convert at par (Etsy lists at $45 USD, Canadians pay $45 CAD through PayPal, at craft shows or on studio visits); but the economy being what it is, that may not be the case every time.

Sales taxes

For customers with a shipping address in Canada, PayPal will automatically add 5% GST at checkout. In addition, customers with a shipping address in Ontario will be charged 8% PST. Customers outside Canada pay no taxes at the time of purchase but are responsible for any import duties levied by their local customs authorities.
